Love Data Week 2023

Feb 13-17, 2023 – Data is for everyone!

Love Data Week is an international event involving libraries, data centers, social media, and research institutions. The week is designed to highlight key resources available to ASU researchers. It is also a time to focus on best practices for managing, protecting, preserving, and publishing your data. The Research Data Management teams at Knowledge Enterprise and the Library will share resource information, tips for data management, and activities designed to help you ensure your data feels loved!

All’s F.A.I.R. in love and data!

In 2016, the ‘FAIR Guiding Principles for scientific data management and stewardship’ were first published in Scientific Data. These guidelines were designed to improve the Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability, and Reuse of digital assets. These principles emphasize the capacity of computational systems to find, access, interoperate, and reuse data with none or minimal human intervention. To find out more about the F.A.I.R. principles check out the .ASU Dataverse Research Data Repository and FAIR: Publishing for today’s and tomorrow’s researchers | ASU Library.

Opportunities for engagement and education

If you love your data – set it free!

Each February, while we celebrate our appreciation for the people we love, it is also a time to celebrate our passion for our work. Love Data Week, provides an opportunity to show your data some love as well! Let your data know you care by taking the time to organize your files, update your documentation, and make a plan for publication and long-term preservation of your findings.

The ASU Research Data Repository, managed by ASU Library, is a publishing platform for sharing, downloading, archiving, and exploring research data produced by ASU-affiliated research projects.
