Possible Causes
If you run into trouble trying to connect your ORCID iD, here are some solutions to common problems:
More than One ORCID iD
You can only associate one ORCID account with your ASURITE ID. You may see this error if you try to connect a second ORCID iD to your ASURITE account. If you have multiple ORCID accounts, see this article on the ORCID site for instructions on how to remove a duplicate ORCID account.
Login Session Problems
It sometimes helps to sign out of both your ASU account and the ORCID website, and then try the process again:
- Make sure you are signed out of the ORCID website
- Then sign out of your ASU account before returning to the ASU ORCID registration page to try again.
